Dear list,

some time ago I got an email from Suzanne McGruther and asked me where
Sky Valley exactly is. But I couldn't help her but Dominic could.

And we thought to let you know, too.

Alright, I found the directions off Dominic:

It is not very hard to find.... If you visit LA it's about 1.5 hours
east of LA.

Here are the directions as best as I can give them. If you have a
map of the area, it will be very easy to find. And yes, the sign
is there (actually there are two of them, one at each end of the
town, you want the one coming from the east, headed west).

Leave LA heading towards Palm Springs. I think this is Interestate
10.

Just past Palm Springs there will be an exit for a road that goes
to Yucca Valley and 29 Palms. Take that exit.

On that road headed towards Yucca Valley there is an exit for Dillon
Road. This is the road that the town of Sky Valley is on. Take
the exit (you can only go right).

If you're sharp-eyed you will also find an exit for Whitewater Canyon
off of I-10. In Whitewater Canyon (beneath the trees) you'll find a
sign for the Conan Troutman Fish Farm.

If you drive south and a bit west of Palm Springs you should also be
able to find Highway 74 (which I have not been on but I hear is very
nice).

Basically everything is there... it's very beautiful although also
very hot when you're there.

Oh hey, check out this URL:
